I thought people stopped believe that 500 years ago???? She hasn't updated her Facebook page, so there appears to be legitimate concern.

I know it's like she's smoke... visible for a instant then vanished. I wonder if the contact she had with the gate in her debut caused her some type of injury?

A Stonestreet inquiry has gotten the reply that she is doing well and galloping on Ocala . Maybe there will be a decision soon on her future .

I don't believe Banke is going to put Rachel at risk again . We know it was definite for the 2014 season she wouldn't be bred .
A trip to Rood and Riddle after her first foaling for pain management and then so close to losing her the second time . Banke , I believe , will not
attempt this again , it would be shocking if she took a chance .

There is a full sister . They are hoping she has success at the track . If
not , it makes sense to see if she can pass on those genes anyway .

As for Rachel, I assumed that her 'retirement' was permanent. I sure hope it is, as the first two times were less than stellar. As you rightly point out, they do have the genes in this filly.

The best thing I can say for her chances is that all of the other entrants seem eminently beatable. But so is she-- and she'll be Underlay City again when her sis's fan club all show up with their money.

That debut at Fair Grounds was not impressive. Then had to take six months off, and now trying to win a 9f race off the shelf at Saratoga-- none of this seems positive.

Its not something that i normally post, most of my posts are just hot air, complaining and nonsense....so, for me to actually release some info that can help people at the windows is shocking to say the least! :D

That's silly. She's not Rachel Alexandra, so there is no reason to expect an undefeated record.

Samantha Nicole broke cleanly and showed improved speed in only her second start. Unbettable or not, value aside she moved forward off the sluggish debut.

They'll probably keep her training/racing for a few more months at least, but I wouldn't be surprised if her racing career ends this year. An expensively bred filly usually isn't kept on the track for very long if there seems to be little hope for some black type wins to enhance its value. She hasn't shown much ability; that trip today was about as good as it gets, it was a very ordinary MSW field and still she only managed fourth.

I know when I said gelded , I said it as a joke . They're not giving up
on that breeding so fast .

That said a horse not as well bred as CO and as high strung could
be a likely candidate .

be a likely candidate .I see. I have no doubt some were serious though, as there's plenty of hate on Facebook. But, he has only one start. That's not enough time to assess whether he can have a future or settle down, and the reports say Cozmic One did behave.

She ran a good race, and separated from the pack towards the end. The only negative was the slow raw fractions, which at Keeneland could mean anything.
