I was in HK last year on Derby Day, the race was shown on free tv, however it had both the Mandarin and English commentary going at the same time, lol (and the Mandarin team were announcing the race conflicting with Mark Johnson's call)

I remember that happening several times back in 2005-2007 with the Sha Tin feed, and I wrote a couple of blistering emails to both Twinspires and the Hong Kong jockey club.

I mean, c'mon. $14M bet per race and you can't get the audio tracks right?

Nice run on the :8: , liked my :14: at 8-1 when I took it, wasn't expecting the plunge to 5-2 (and was def not expecting it to run like the 200-1 :1: )

:8: seemed best late in the run, didn't get out early enough. Sha Tin reminds me of harness racing sometimes.

I'm not sure what the numbers are, but when the "steam" or brown lamp horses like your :14: come down in odds late like that, I think they only run well about 25% of the time. I seem to remember cringing anyway when it happened to the horse I bet.

Races on the plastic are tough.

Well, gonna go with the win machine :8: each way to plug along near the end and get a slice.

5th Race - another toughie. They ain't giving it away.

Gonna play the :7: dog - looks like a good spot for him. Give another chance to handle the stretch out on the AWT.

Didn't much care for the :12: myself, sort of liked the :9: and :10: a bit, but your :6: squeezed my :7: at the top of the stretch and he couldn't last. After the race I see the odds came down on the :7: - should have known that was the kiss of death.... :(
