My wife and I spent three weeks in the British Isles, including 1 week in Ireland in 1996.
Our trip costs totalled less than $5,000.
While prices have gone up since then, Michelle's trip racked up expenses more than 1,500 times what we spent.
For every buck I spent, she spent 1500.
Even paying for bodyguards, it takes an entitlement attitude to spend that amount of money at the taxpayers expense.
To use an Irish slang term...."That's feckin ridiculous."
