Just bet Stu Elliot Just brought in a 26-1 in the 2nd race. I think that's 5 or 6 wins since last Friday-most at decent prices

Some horses are just better on that track than others.

Know your horse.

I know I'll be playing the last race of the meet. I'll play every horse in the field just so that I can say I picked a winner at Keeneland - since they switched to poly.

Place is in------g possible.

It does seem like a lovely track, though.

You have two groups of trainers, those that understand the poly, and those that don't. After finally being able to make a decent buck at KEE, their going back to dirt. I find most of the time, the horses that have run well or have decent works on poly get over the track and run close to where I think they will.

I was never a fan of who ever secures the lead and rail biased race track of the past at Keeneland. I hope the new dirt surface is better than the old one.

I might as well throw darts at a board for winners at KEE.
My handicapping at that track is horrific.

And, yes, it is a beautiful track. I just don't do poly - successfully.

I don't know what the key is but I hit the 6th, 8th and 10th today for $22, $17.60, and $50. Best day I've ever had there. Or maybe anywhere.

That was Elliot on the winner in the 6th-another one at a price.

Yes, his mention here earlier was a factor in my decision to bet that horse. So I owe that one to you.

I cashed a bunch of tickets last fall at KEE when Rosario got hot. Some of his mounts were coming in at nice prices. Sometimes all it takes is a hot jock and paying attention.

The best way to beat Keeneland is to play the turf races and sit out all the synthetic races. The latter is full of layoffs, turfers that have never run on synth, dirt horses that have never run on synth, and shippers with some synthetic experience but that have been running on dirt or turf for months. I might as well play scratch off lottery tickets.

I worked harder on today's Keeneland card than I had worked on any card all year, and I'm still trying to think of whether it was worth the effort. Whether it's good for the horses or not, I'm more comfortable with dirt handicapping.

My favorite track may quite possibly be the toughest track to play in America

Take a long hard look at anything Shug McCaughey is saddling there now.
His horses seem dead fit.

Missed him on a 6-1 maiden in R4 today Joe Rocco up because I played some tricks.
No, I couldn't just take a little of that 6-1.......

I do very well playing high % trainer angles at Keenland. Today Mark Casse had a 9-1 that i bet pretty hard. Some trainers are elite on that poly track and will bring in some long shots!

He also throws in some head scratchers. The other day, Exploring and Dynamic Sky didn't fire at all, and they both love synthetic.

Check out the Night School archive at Steve Byk's site - this month, either the 4th or 11th. Very good presentation of how to handle KEE. I'm even playing it today.

Interesting how McPeek is back, and Ramsey and Maker are no where to be found. Just goes to show you what's old is new again, and once you think you have it figured out, this game can kick you in the butt.

Read the polycapping 101 by Jeremy plonk everyday. His long term trends really help find the real contenders.

I really like playing supers there in the 12 and 13 horse fields, useualy hit a bunch each meet with great pays. Ex. I hit one this year that was 3rd choice-2nd choice-4th choice-favorite in a 13 horse turf race..... paid a bit over $50 for 10 cents.

There are so many good prices, as long as you stick to your guns and don't take unnecessary gambles it won't be hard to.come out ahead.

I also only play a handful of races each meet because it takes awhile to work out what can happen in the large fields.

Be curious to how Gulfstream ship ins, who do NOT have early speed, have fared over the Poly.

As Big Pussy on "The Sopranos" would say, I got the Maloik at Keenland. Yesterday was not a good day there.
Now I know how they keep that track so beautiful. It's all my losings.

2 races left and Ramsey has 2 bullets left to try and take down the owners title. He has been leading owner at KEE every meet including fall 2011, which is all Equibase has on their website.

Going to be tough feeding all those Kittens on just 3 wins.
