I see the Homeland security agency is spending $61.00 per person to make Wyoming safe and $25.00 per person to make make New York safe. Almost makes you think Wyoming has some one of influence in the process. ;)

Ummmm.. do ya think the dollar distribution is skewed by the SUBSTANTIALLY smaller amount of people in Wyoming? This is another case where you make a statistic mean whatever you'd like it to mean. Can you post the total number of $$$ spent in each place (just as a handy reference)? Thanks...

Ok how about this one. The federal government is spending 50 billion on a rain forest in Iowa and 84 billion on homeland security in New York.

I thought conservation was a good thing. I am confused by your post. Are you saying the government should not be multi-tasking?

Not yet! But fear not, 50 billion should be a nice start.

I said:

Then you said:

"Not yet! But fear not, 50 billion should be a nice start."

Now I'm asking if you'll please substantiate this... can you point me at a link or perhaps copy a paragraph into a response post verifying what you're saying? If true, sounds like it could be this year's version of the $50,000 toilet seat or $5,000 hammer...

It must be Bob Villa's new TV show...This Old Rain Forrest.
He takes all the furniture that didn't turn out so good on his first TV show and glues leaves to it and partially buries in the Iowa desert. Hopefully, it will take root.

You could do a google search for rainforest Coralville Iowa. Or get Time Magazine April 19 issue page 23.
Oh wait a minute I just re-checked the figures it is 50 million not billion. Sorry bout that.

Wyoming used to have Rockefeller's vacation home and a buffalo ranch of Ted Turner and Jane Fonda.
