Funny part is i planned on wagering around 5 horses today. First 4 lost and got to watching the Wood and the other just won at 8/1 at Gulfstream, without me.

I thought Schivarelli ran very well, considering.

This is one of the keys to the analysis for me.

Either he ran quite well or the pace wasn't as demanding as it looked when I watched it live.

You can see SI being used after the break to get going. Then he was used again to brush into the stalking position. After that, when they were going head to head they may have been running more comfortably than it looked.

Samraat was up there early but hung around fine.

Kristo made a wide move into the pace and he backup up.

I'm going to guess the pace was a little fast, but not very fast. The real issue for SI was that he was used wide early.

Schivarelli ran eye-ball pooping fast last time out and dropped of some 23 TF points 4f to final. That move will not get him any roses.

Looks like a perfect fit for an insanely fast Derby pace.
