Interesting article on MLB umps. I had always suspected some of this was true; on 3-1 and 3-0 counts, the borderline call goes to the pitcher. On 0-2, 1-2 and 2-2 counts, the borderline call goes to the hitter.

I know with two strikes when I umpired high school ball, the borderline call ALWAYS went to the pitcher! Of course nobody was running the K Zone software on those games.
