What is my connectivity problem

When I visit this friend, I cannot connect to his home wireless even with the password. This is the only place this happen. My computer tries and tries, and then gives up. I try using connection troubleshooting, but my computer shrugs eventually. Does anyone know how to fix this? It's probably easy. I'm heading out there to visit tomorrow for a week and would like to work on the computer in the evenings. TIA

Does his wireless security use MAC address filtering? If so then your wireless device needs to be on the whitelist or the filtering needs to be turned off.
