Contrary to what C. Edmund Wright says, the stories I read from TPM and HuffPo both mention estimated tax payments. So, yes, we do know about those complicated financial matters.

The individual mandate penalty is not due until a person files his taxes in 2015 (for 2014) and it is not a requirement for inclusion in any estimated tax payment. If Drudge added it into his ET payment he did so voluntarily.

What I find truly amazing and hard to believe is that this is a forty seven year old man who is choosing to not have health insurance because he doesn't like a law.

Drudge may say he is paying the Obamacare tax now. He may think he is paying now, but all he is doing is overpaying his first quarters estimated tax.
The individual mandate penalty is not due until taxes are filed in 2015.

Anyone in good health and in his financial position would probably self-insure. Maybe buy a back-up catastrophic policy.

Under the ACA I believe those options are now off the table.

How do you presume to know his insurance situation, other than the fact that he does not have a Big Brother approved plan?

You cite no sources as to the filing of estimated taxes and the penalty. I expected some URLs.

Paying estimated taxes for TY2014 have a quarterly filing due 4/15/2014. So anything that is a part of the TY2014 is a part of that filing including the penalty under question.

If that is wrong, show me.

On the other hand, if you are so sure, tell Drudge you'll cover the additional fines, fees and penalties and he does not need to include the payment of the so called freedom tax.

Gee, I bet we socialists can divvy up that cool 90 mill among all Americans needing serious medical care. Drudge however can keep his cool hat so he need not spend much of his muckraker funds on expensive toupees

and yet the real enemy (Obama and the left) is screwing this country right and left and HCAP is alrighty with that. I wonder what the world looks like from that skewed vantage point.

HCAP - How is Obama okay and GWB the devil in your opinion??? Personally I think they both have many warts, but you refuse to ever say that Obama has any warts. Care to clarify your position???

Other than that he is way better than his predecessor.

However the amount of garbage going on here has reached all time records.
Most of my annoyance is you gentleman thinking ANYTHING you post anti, is absolutely true.

before you guys whine about the press just remember that it was liberals who gave them the right to not disclose sources.

You are all old enough to remember that.

those lies you bitch about are the ones you created.

A new job for Representative Paul Ryan :

Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) on Tuesday unveiled a budget that proposes to cut $5.1 trillion over a decade in a bid to erase the federal deficit, while calling once again for dramatic changes to Medicare, Medicaid and the tax code.

It sound like Liberal problems are on the increase.

But it's working!!! Investors are borrowing at the low rates just as Keynesian theory predicts, expanding businesses, building new plant and equipment, hiring new workers, and creating new demand. The housing market is booming, and new construction is everywhere.

And there is no inflation!!! Well, sure, gas is up to around $3.50 a gallon. And ground beef is about $3.50 a pound. But the Federal Reserve core inflation rate doesn't include food or energy, so everything is coming up roses.

Mission Accomplished. :p

JR I have a very hard time to not agree with you, like 95% +, so the Chinese are buying serious amounts of property in the States. Perhaps you might recall some big buys before in NY that they got smoked on. And what is your opinion on this book?

JustRalph

I haven't read it. I've read some reviews. I'll probably get around to it.

I don't think it's too much to think that there will be a melt down.

Greenspan I think sold us a bill of goods, but we can't get off the out of control train now because we have no balls.

Our grand kids could quite possibly be the victims of all of this. If not the 20 something's of today. Hell, in the long run they could be fighting chinese soldiers, with nothing worth defending. Where does that leave this country?

Forced acceptance of the low standards being promulgated today in all things cultural and political will be the downfall of the United States. It's a ticking time bomb. Propping up a shit economy built on false assumptions with echoes and shadows of value and integrity just to keep alive a narrative that keeps Wall Streeters rich and Bankers solvent at the expense of the middle class is patently unAmerican and is supported by the real enemies of our country. These enemies range from the current ruling classes, Dems and Repubs, to those who want to change America into Europe or in extreme cases socialists.

This is why I am for secession at all levels. The embarrassment of foolish states that think they are the real reason for success in the United States can only truly be revealed by forcing them to get along on their own. From New York to Louisiana and Mississipi. California and Washington DC too.

Between the States that rob their citizenry with high taxes to those who cling to the Federal teat, they should be forced to stand on their own.
