If Carles does not play, even if it's the last 2 minutes, I'm going to be p*ssed, big time.

Read on twitter last week that FCB will attempt to get that dirty Brazilian player,
David Luiz, from Chelsea in order to replace Puyol.

Man, I hate watching that Luiz fellow.

Oh, btw....Puyol may sign in the MLS by next season.
Hard to pass up a nice payday before you retire.

I missed that about Luiz.

If he were to be acquired by FCB, I'd have mixed emotions. Maybe British football is the farm league for Iberia?

MLS would be a huge benefactor if they could land him. I never even considered going out of my way to see Beckham but I would for Puyol.

Shame that the MLS is becoming a sort of senior circuit for older Euro players:
David Beckham
Thierry Henry
Torsten Frings
Freddie Ljungberg
Obafemi Martins (Nigerian)

Word is that Lampard will be coming soon too.
Puyol is ancient

EDIT: David Luiz is a very good CDM/CB, dirty or not.

Marquee players from Europe in the twilight of their careers have been coming here since the 1970s.
Nothing new, and just how things are in club soccer.

No doubt, David Luiz is a good player, and still young.
I might like him a bit better if he played for MUFC. ;)

Referees should be stricter on him, though.
He gets away with a lot of crap for Chelsea.

Chelsea has always been a rough-n-tumble team.
John Terry is as nasty as they get (and your former ManU guy Vidic is also).
Lampard and Essien were tough too, as well as John Obi Mikel a few years back.

No stats in front of me, but I think Chelsea has given up the fewest goals this season.

He must not have been fit to play today.
Wasn't even on the bench.

That was the first disappointment of the day. The second was Pique not being in better position to block the goal.

With the loss of Carles Puyol, Barcelona's back line is in need of reinforcements. Here are five candidates to fill the center-back role.
