To go further back, go to equibase.com then select Stats.

On the Stats Central page make sure the tab labeled Horses is selected.

In the drop down for the year, select the year for when a specific horse won the Derby. Example 2010 for Super Saver.

In the search box enter the name of the winner, again, for this example Super Saver then click the green arrow. Wait a second or two then the list with the horse will appear and the
horse entered in the search box is highlighted. Click on it, e.g. Super Saver.

When the page finally is shown, find the green bar with the label of Results then click on it to expand it.

You should then be able to see the list of races including the Derby and the race previous to it. In this case, Super Saver,
finished 2nd in the Arkansas Derby.

I thought finishing fourth (or something like that) in the Sunland Derby was an automatic toss,
until Mine That Bird came around.
Heck - how did you figure Animal Kingdom's preparation?
Discount the horse, not the prep races.

In the past decade, I seem to recall that I Want Revenge, and Eskendereya, were pretty good horses leading up to May. You can't predict fate.

I guess if you' re superstitious, though, the Wood could have you on edge.

Great info.Since Empire Maker I was absolutely in love with Eskendereya from all aspects.Shame we never got to see more.

I don't get derisive about a race like this because it hit a lull and isn't mass producing Derby winners.Hell because it hasn't in a while guarantees the next one will be an overlay because of players like Smarty Cide's attitude!
