Comedian David Brenner, a frequent guest on the Tonight show during the Carson era, and a forerunner of comics such as Richard Lewis and Jerry Seinfeld, has died from cancer at age 78. I always enjoyed his humor and routines.

I had not realized (until my wife, who is the in-house authority on all things Filipino, mentioned it to me) that David Brenner's wife (since 2011) was former world and U.S. pairs figure-skating champion Tai Babilonia (of half-Filipino (on her father's side) and half-Native American descent).

Correction: David and Tai were engaged in 2006, but were never married. He then married another woman in 2011. (I can't believe my wife made a mistake! That would be her first! :D )
