March Madness Against the Public Plays

... and I'm back to post plays on college hoops for a while.
The way I play: In sports-betting, like stocks, we’re dealing with numbers. Just as companies have a number attached to them to indicate value, so do sports teams. The odds and lines are basically like the price on a share for a company. The opening number comes out and then the market metes it out. Over time, the number becomes market-tested and more solid than the opening figure.Just as in stocks, the worst thing to do is to play “follow the leader.” Original insight is what gets rewarded in both walks of life. Good sports-bettors and stock investors alike are looking to put their money behind something that is being under-valued. I've been successful doing this for years. Some years the committee does an ok job. This year was NOT one of them. Just terrible work on their part.

How about these two games? Tennessee, an 11 seed, is a 4 point favorite over 6 seed UMass. And Pitt, a 9 seed, is a 6.5 point favorite over 8th seeded Colorado.

Now maybe OSU will play Xavier, Cinci or Dayton during the year. OSU came into the tourney with a huge target on their backs. Dayton took every advantage of OSU's mistakes.

2 BIG games today going ATP style...

Who would take the Vols against Michigan?? ME that's who... Hammering them at +2. (Tenn getting 27% of the money)

In the night cap I'm going against the other Michigan team MSU who play a under rated Virginia squad. I'll take the 2.5 in this situation any day. (Virgian getting 28% of the money)

Both of these favorites have that "this is a lock" feel to them. Going the other way.
