The Penguins were up 3-2 going into that game and even if the Flyers did win game 6 they would of been heavy underdogs in game 7 at Pittsburgh. So I'm not really sure how it "changed the series". Flyers won the previous game in Pittsburgh to stay alive, then the Penguins answered with a win in Philly to end it.
