Wow. That was fun to watch. Had nothing at stake - have a big smile on my face for the Dude's performance.

1/5 of a second off the world record, held by Spectacular Bid. It's also a new stakes record.

That is insulting to the Bid.

Yeah, because I'm sure the track the Bid competed on was totally normal and fair, and not souped up at all.

The I5 is not as souped up as SA was yesterday.
Bid proved himself to be a real champion of horses, not circumstances.

Bid proved himself to be a real champion of horses, not circumstances. Dude is winning grade ones at age seven, what else does he have do to prove himself. Maybe he is not mentioned when they talk about the best ever, but he out there at age seven running in the highest level races. Nobody else is doing that these days.
Was SA souped up yesterday, yes ,quite a bit. But I have seen a lot worse, like what MTH did in 2009 for the Haskell or worse yet what the Mountain did the 2001 West Virginia Derby.

Everyone is also overlooking the fact that Sahara Sky came from 8th in the San Carlos...

I scored nicely on Western Pride in the WV Derby. Is that the one you're complaining about?

C'mon, you're interfering with a good rant by stating a fact.

The 7 furlong race was contested from the get go. Find me a 8.5 race under 1.41 - there are only 4 since going back to dirt.
Show me a 10 furlong race in under 2.00. There are none.
The track was extremely fast.

While it is always interesting to debate whether a track was biased or not, one thing is certain. The faster races are run, the less stamina is required. That has to favor speed horses to at least some extent.

The track seemed pretty fair yesterday. Game On Dude got his perfect race. Surprising, because everybody knows he needs the early lead and then be unchallenged in the backstretch for a couple of deep breaths. His last time out Hollendorfer challenged him with Blueskiesandrainbows. And yesterday that trainer had two horses in the race. The 5 was the Hollendorfer speed, so I watched closely at his start. I'm not 100% sure if I'm seeing this correctly, but it looks to me as if the 4, with Desormeaux, is swerving one way and then the other way, both times in the path of the 5. Some jockeys, like Talamo, are able to ride and look over at the big screen; again hard to say if Kent was doing so. In any case, with no money on the race, and with the 5 being such a key horse to the pace, I thought that was 'interesting'. Not taking anything away from the Dude. He got his race. Once he gets that breather nobody beats him. Good for him.

I believe the track was sloppy that day.

On a scale of 1-10 that track was probably more speed favoring than the average track, but I didn't think it was dictating the results.

There were some legitimate questions about whether GOD had lost a step or just needed to control the pace, but he didn't do anything he hadn't already done lots of times. California Chrome looked solid going in and is a 3YO that could easily have stepped forward.
