Finally they have a 16 month contract. Looks like a 10% cut in purses. What a mess!

With an additional 15% cut coming next year, along with 20% fewer races, it looks like its time for the Illinois horsemen to cash in their chips or move out. Its hard to believe that harness racing is all but dead in Chicago.

It was already a poor and watered down product, now this....

I feel for the guys that depended on racing for their livelihoods...

Illinois leaders are clueless about their racing product, employees, venues, and especially their audiences, imo....
