Paints a sad picture, and even worse future....

I believe it was in the book 'Freakonomics' a chapter that looked into the "positive" impact that Roe vs. Wade had on crime statistics (starting in the early 90's). I'm not saying "its" right or wrong... just thought it was interesting, and spoke perfectly to the article being commented on. The media would have us believe it was; the war on drugs, tougher punishment, treatment programs, and better trained / ramped up law enforcement. Not so much.

Question: What would the population density, welfare state & crime look like in major cities today if R vs. W never happened?

"hyperinflation or economic collapse" will occur before we select a new President of this United States. But what is the extent of the damage we all will have to face? To save the patient rule no.1 is stop the bleeding, rule no.2 is do no harm.
When you just focus on just the basics anyone who has drawn out more than they have contributed to social security will have to face at least a 20 % cut just to manage what we have going on here. This is going to happen no matter who becomes the next President. The very next conflict that this country gets into will compound the need for this to occur. And this is just the start of what it will take to stop the hemorrhaging. The welfare reform that will follow will seem downright cruel. Those of you who thought that you could get off easy and die first think again, shits around the corner. Every one is going to have to pay for this stupidity called the war on poverty because its failure and real cost is the cancer of our time. The reality is when it hits, you and everyone else will no longer be in denial.
