Sadly, I must share the passing of Tom Hambleton, just 3 days shy of his 70th birthday.

Please sign the guestbook and share whatever you recall of Tom. He was a fine man and a good handicapper. Author of Form Points and primary author of Pace Makes the Race.

Tom Hambleton, Guest Book (http://obits.dignitymemorial.com/dignity-memorial/obituary.aspx?n=Thomas-Hambleton&lc=1009&pid=169790674&uuid=c546ff81-469f-4ec4-903e-21b5259edab7)

Today would have been his 70th birthday.

We will miss you, Tommy.

Pace makes the race was the 1st handicapping book I ever read. Bless his soul for contributing to our sport.

Sad news - condolences to his family. Tom was a seminal contributor to the Sartin Methodology. I never knew him, but benefited greatly from his lucid explanations and creative research.

Sad news. RIP Tom. Many benefited from his work. Myself included. "Pace Makes the Race" was the first book on Horse Racing I ever read.
