"A filly-loving fiend swiped a horse-shaped 1985 Breeders' Cup trophy from an Aqueduct Racetrack restaurant in Queens, officials said Saturday.
The thief broke into the second floor of the Rockaway Boulevard racetrack in South Ozone Park at about 8 p.m. on Thursday, taking two laptop computers, a flat screen television, and a flat screen "photo finish" monitor.
He then went into the High Rollers restaurant, which is no longer open to the public, and took the trophy, which was valued at $5,000 when it was given out 29 years ago. The horse-shaped statue was in an unsecured trophy case, according to police sources."
