Olmsted's new edition is out and I feel well worth the price of $65.00 A huge amount of information on trainers and patterns that is easy to use. I guess there are many places to get this book at but one is www.handicappersbookshelf.com. Does anyone on the board know Mr Olmsted??? If so pass along my congrats on a job well done.

Melman, I have a book from 1996 called "Olmsted's Trainer & Jockey Pattern Pocket Guide." Is this the same guide you are talking about (though you are discussing a newer edition, of course)? I didn't know that Olmsted had a $65 book. This edition I have is very compact.

This edition has just been updated Sparky. Contains over 5.500 trainers plus a listing of sires. It still is not very big. LOL Does contain quite a bit of information however.
