I sure hope he is ok. After riding Cougarontheprowl who broke down on February 6th, Mike has gone 0-17 since and some of these rides are very questionable. Sure looks like that break down has him shaken up.

He's hard to bet on now, he can't win on anything and he's riding great stock. Im sure whatever is wrong with him physically will eventually get better and he'll slowly get back to being Mike Smith.

Just saw this. I thought it was me but he wasn't getting into position to win on a few of these. A lot of these mounts were on low (sometimes very low) odds. Not criticizing the the guy, but as a bettor you want to know the current "climate". Good post.

I have nt followed this well, but I just happened to see Mike Smith win on a favorite, in the 7th in Santa Anita today. Hope he's got his confidence back! :ThmbUp:
