Not the odds, but the FOOD!
What are you having tonight?
Pizza, wings? Cookout?

I have shrimp, debating over steak or ribs......decisions, decisions.

Can't believe there is no tailgating today....can't believe it is NJ!

got a rack of ribs absorbing the rub right now and some bbq beans and a salad. One of those few occasions you don't need to have the remote in hand for a while so you can go with sticky finger food options!

Enjoy the game everyone!

I settled on strip steak, shrimp scampie, and oninon rings.
Pepper poppers for an appetizer.

For my guests, I have rib lamb chops, slow-roasted pork, pastichio, rice pilaf, oven-browned potatoes...and the best $12-bottles of white wine that money can buy. Pizza and hamburgers for the kids...and for me...wild-cought New Zealand orange roughy with fresh swisschard...along with some fresh scallops that I bought at the scandalous price of $29.99 a pound (don't do your shopping at Highland Park, Illinois :faint: ).

And I will try and eat fast...before a big early lead by Denver ruins my appetite.

Just multi grain Tostitos scoops, salsa, and some Crown and water.

Don't need to over do...

Enjoy your dinners, gentlemen, and your friends and guests.

There's Broadway JOE !! Coin toss!!! :)

I'm with jhs. Pringles Zesty Salsa Tortillas, ice cold Pepsi, and Lindy's Italian Ices. I'm mostly watching the Puppy Bowl on the big tv and listening to the game on the little one.

Yes, they didnt want a "modern singer" to put a "twist" on the anthem....just sing it like it is supposed to be sung, and she did that.

Pizza Hut pizza and Pepsi. Pizza Hut's new crust sets a new standard in awful even for them. Ended scraping the topping off and just eating them.

Costco was out of plain wings, so I had to buy a pre-made bag of hot wings. Could not make my recipe.

Appetizers

Chips, vegetable tray and the aforementioned wings.

Dinner

A taco bar with homemade guacamole, pico de gallo, salsa, cheese, etc

Dessert

Homemade (as in from scratch) chocolate cake. It is the best chocolate cake ever. Of course, must have vanilla ice cream with it.

Drinks

You name it.

I am still celebrating!!!!

Wife made a killer pot of Chili, added grilled flank steak, also had some chili dogs and frosty brewed coors lite. Food was great, game sucked. I hate it when one team doesn't show up.

Perhaps this dud of a game could provide an unintended benefit.

It might persuade the horse racing industry to revisit their baffling policy of canceling the races scheduled to be run during the night of the Super Bowl.

Or at least get the last race over in time for the half time show. :p

Since my wife and I are both plant-based, we did our own version of nachos ( tempeh, vegan nacho cheese, Tofutti sour cream, nacho chips, guacamole , mango ) with pretzels/hummis and some beer from a local brewery. my new favorite meal !!!

Who did that?

Turf Paradise has been cancelling not only Super Bowl Sunday for years, but every Sunday basically from the start of playoffs (post Christmas), with the exception of the dry week before the final game.

They don't cancel. They just don't schedule it anymore. Makes perfectly good sense to me.

I smoked two 8lb pork shoulders so pulled pork anchored a huge buffet at the party we attended. Not even half of all the food go consumed so leftovers for at least a week:)

Stopped at my favorite Chinese takeout place on the way home from the track, and that was my early dinner. What with the track and then the game shortly therafter, no time or inclination to do anything special.
