What a race.
Full field of 12 relatively evenly matched fillies & mares. Good mix of speed, stalkers and closers.
Initially I like the 5-6-12 with the #12 being the 3-1 ML favorite, but she's beatable with a record of 12: 2-7-2...she settles for smaller pieces of the pie.
The 5-6 offer value on the ML and this contest may come down to trips and jockey prowess (or lack thereof).

Anyone have any light to shed on this one? Race falls in the late P4 sequence so it's a necessary evil if you're playing that wager. Many in the RidersUp Contest will also be capping this race.
Would like to start a dialogue and hopefully learn a few things to help me pare down the field....I could easily go 5 deep or more in a P3 or P4.
Puzzler.

:5: if they don't go too fast

:3: If they go too fast up front

:10: If they go real real fast up front

:7: and :12: will probably be bet down too low to play. So I wouldn't unless I was playing exotics.

Would add the :6: to exotic tickets too

I will be betting both the :6: and :9: to win. A :6: :9: exacta box and a :6: :9: :12: exacta box.

The reason I like the 9 is that when a horse is off a long lay off I look up the breeding of the sire for first time wins--a long lay off is similar to a first start--and the sire is Indian Charlie an A rated sire for debuts. The jockey/trainer is 29% together with +0.64 ROI.

When I handicap any lay off horse I use the fastest race to see if it's competitive with horses with current races (within 28 days).

The :12: has a 181 best race TPR and the :9: has a 179.

I've had some longshot long lay off horses win for me looking up sire debut ratings.

I ended up on the 10 here. I think they may sit back a length from the inside speed, off the rail, and should have first run at the front runners as they come from home

$1 tri 10 w 3,5,6,7,12 = $20

And now HPI shows the 10 as scratched...so I need to make a "correction"

7 w 3,4,5,6,12 = $20

I think she is sitting on a big one. When she's right she blows fields away.
Freshened with a nice work tab, including a best of 109 bullet Jan10th.
Has the figs to win - her last was very nice.
No way I get 6-1...will go as low as 3-1 for a win play.

I think she's the one...Uno Duo

Going with the :9: . Trainer Reid has shipped in for 3 races today, and I think he's live in all of them.

#5/#7 box. #7 had a bad setup last race but #5 may clear here. #1 can suck up.

Swing and a miss - thought the #7 was an underlay and couldn't use her on top.
