I believe the plan is to start racing shortly after the opening. Unclear for 2014 if the turf course will be in use.

I believe I read May 5th for betting but I imagine it will fall on whatever date the Derby is,at least.2015 for the new turf course to grow and settle.

If you're referring to the track surface itself, it is new. The demolition and construction that went on affected the existing layout; the new track is not in exactly the same place it was before anyway, so it is a completely new racing surface. The property that was River Downs is the same; the configuration within that has changed.

Hey Lee do you know if we are going to get a swipe card like the slots players do so we can get rewards points/comps etc?My mom and sisters are all into the casinos(they love Belterra)and they get comped out the wazoo.I want some of that action!

I'm getting pretty jacked up about the whole deal.Racing into October I love.The new layout from the pictures looks killer.Do you know where the paddock is going to be?Are there boxes one can purchase for the whole season?Anyway hope you had a good winter man.It won't be long now!
