Traffic backed up for miles - can't get out of my parking lot.
Joe Biden just landed and is speaking around the corner at MCC.

Thanks, Joe.
For nothing.

Keeping traffic backed up, engines idling, how can this be good to Global Warming?

Planet killer.

Time to phase out the whole vice-president thing anyway. Political skin tags.

Well, if you and Tom thought I was laughing at him, no, that was not my intent.

But I guess I am wrong b/c the karma bit me on the butt after I posted that quip.

I wanted some freshly baked bread with dinner tonight. And after stopping at 3 different places including "the usual place" and walking out empty handed, I tried Panera for the first time.

Up scale and up sale. Damn, all I want is a decent loaf. They wanted to sell me a large loaf of French for more than $8 -- eight f'ng dollars for a loaf of bread!

I finally "convinced" the clerk I wanted just a regular loaf of sourdough and that was still almost $4.

I used to make my own. I think I dig up the machine that's in the corner of the garage.

All these impotent people come to Canandaigua. What's so special about your little town?

It could be worse Tom. You could live in Atlanta where 2 1/2 inches of snow has crippled the town.

I googled Canandaigua and it says nothing about the Viagra factory being located there.

What does MCC stand for? Some Community College? Or am I completely off base?

I have always MCC to mean two things:
Madras Christian College (India)
Marylebone Cricket Club (Britain)

Hey, but off topic....
Since your lunch got cut my Biden.. I have a lunch offer -at Long Branch NJ if you ever venture that far down.. Or really anybody that plays Freehold might take me up on this offer!

I have a pdf voucher (amazon local) for this restaurant. I bought it when I was visiting NJ a lot last semester but never got a chance to go down all the way to Freehold/Long Branch area more than once. So I have a $10 value voucher that you can have if you are interested and will use by Feb 4th. I dont want it to go waste! In return all I ask is that maybe you visit my blog and if you have any stuff to buy on amazon use my links to visit amazon. that is all.
Interested? please let me know. my email on gmail is naridon@

Actually, this is Rochester, where I work.

But Canandaigua has a history of famous people - for the water.
Humphrey Bogart, Rod Serling, both had cottages. Bush was here once.
Me, of course.......Zaf was here once for the track.

Ah, yes, the water.

Reminds me of "It's the water and a lot more" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Olympia_Beer) I used to hear on a beer commercial.
