i was curious how many of you feel you need multiple tools to work, i.e. the racing form, sheets, software, data files etc.

or do you feel you can do with just one source of material?

For me, I have my Daily Racing Form, a pen, and my own handicapping checklist (method). I even keep my records in notebooks. I should probably use a computer for that since I am about to be buried in notebooks and old racing forms !

Mostly the DRF and Equibase workouts and ful charts. Brisnet Ulitmate PP's are nice to use. I find ATM magazine useful most months.

All I need are Bris' Multicaps data files, (not the software, I just use the comma delimited data files in my own spreadsheet), and access to live odds. That's it.

All I need is a program and a dart.

Program and a dart? Pfft, that's high tech.

I take the racing entries from the NY Daily News and attach it to my cat's scratching post. After about a couple hours, I gently take it off. Whatever horses names that are left that I can still read, those are the ones that I play.

Hey don't knock it, ol' Fluffy picked a cold $18 quinella the other day.

Anytime I need a Pick 6, I pass up the scratching post and head straight for the litterbox.

Ideally: Sheets, DRF (including charts), VCR (to watch previous races). Very nice combination, but can't always put these three together.

Whoa !! I dont even have time to breathe .. never mind all of
the books, materials, charts, etc. LOL I simply download the
file to my Aodds program. It takes me 3 mins per race .. maybe
5 mins to get the contenders. Then .. i get my dog to look and
she scratches and paws.... and voila :) Seriously I can not
imagine all the work you folks do. Amazing. And please keep
on winning....i may need to borrow some money down the road !!

RE:<I may be able to tell you when the Favorite will not win !>

Good line BTC, that's really the way you beat this game anyway, when it's all said and done.
