M1 Post Position variance

Does anyone have the last few year's post position win rate by racing season for Meadowlands? I know they post current season on their website, but I want to see if there is much variance from racing season to season.

I don't have this info. But keep in mind from a statistical perspective that since they moved to classified racing in 2013, fewer races now have a random draw. Particularly in the last few months of their meet last year, they combined a lot of classes so that the better horses were given outside posts. A true measure of post position analysis would look at ony races that had a random draw (of course, no tracks actually provide this).

So whatever results you find might be misleading.

Ok usual for Meadowlands. posts 5+6 are best. 3,4,7 are close. Big M has been this way forever so I guess the new track etc is the same. I would also think this is standard for most mile tracks?

Personally, with only 244 races to work with since the "New-M1" opened, and winter always being unkind to certain types of runners and classes, I wouldn't think that is enough data to make any firmer affirmations just yet...

I can definitely see it trending somewhat, still, it is not enough for me to go on yet...

Interesting stats on the "combined class" tho....

The middle posts have only been winning big since the track was resurfaced in 1990.Prior to that,the inner posts dominated as well.
