I don't know what the pool was if it was hit for a buck or a few dimes. Didn't check.

I think it was hit for one dime.

I got real lucky when the 14 won the place photo. Had a feeling on Kent today, and I used the 2. My bet was $5 on the 14 and a $1 exacta 2,8,9,11,13/14. First signer of the year.

Sweet Jesus! Could you just imagine the feeling that lucky SOB felt when he looked at his ticket? Wow!

I like to think it was a "quick pick" that the machine kicked out for him, but who knows.

They don't have the "quick pick" feature in Calif. anymore.
When Big Brown won the Derby, a group of bar friends purchased around $2000 ( in Superfectas ) quick picks for the race and Big Browns number never appeared once in any of the slots on any of the tickets.
The quick pick feature was removed from the machines soon after.

Pool was $160,000

The Pool is reported to be $162,039

How does that figure a Pay Off of $1,235,437.40?

See my thread SAX= SANTA ANITA ACTIVITY POST 3 for a
possible answer.

Congrats OM

I only had the 14 selected, but over looked the 2 with kent.
Didn't have all my game boards on today.

Maybe Sunday will be better for us all.

Wrong. The SAMs still have the quick pick option here.

That seems strange.
The California Horse Racing Board seems to think you are wrong.
Now who are we going to believe ?
My favorite part is in the third paragraph.
Something about "cease accepting Quick-Pick wagers in facilities authorized by the California Horse Racing Board This includes all racetracks in the state which were individually notified".

Means 1 ticket for $.10 hit it minus the takeout. You figure it out.

First there was no million dollar pay out on the super. It was one player who had it for 10 cents. There was $162,039 in the super pool. This is false advertising, leaving gamblers the impression they could one day win a million dollars playing a $1 super in the correct order. They do this to try and increase there racetrack handle. But its poor ethics and several tracks have used this tactic. It will take a class action lawsuit to stop it. AND IT SHOULD BE STOPPED IMMEDIATELY. Fastest way to make a million dollars in the horse business is to sue the track for this false advertising.

At least someone had it. Shows that with 10 cent supers there are no more ALL payoffs.

My wife played the 2 to show and the 14 across the board. I was too busy with GP to take time and box it for her. My bad.
