3.40 R6 No2 Miss Gazelle - Decided to lean towards the lightly raced improver Miss Gazelle who forms part of a joint entry here. Having 2nd career start after winning a 30K claimer at 1st start when recorded the necessary speed figures that suggest it can go forward and lead here despite the wide draw. That day lead all the way to record a 2.7*1.2*4.2l win in a 7 horse field indicating good depth and a lot of upside in the performance. Minor query stepping to 6f but should run average pars through early and mid stages allowing to close off race to full potential and fitter now should only improve on 1st career start. Decent breeding as well by Forest Gazelle (Green Forest) out of a Green Forest mare. Trainer also carries 26% strike rate with 2nd starters and 26% strike rate with maiden winners last race. Also big market confidence as was well backed at 1st start suggesting the trainers and connections are keen on it improving again here today for mine. Work with a bullet on 25 March clocking 5f in 59.4s and shapes as hard to toss on that form.
