There has been talk and speculation before on who would be the first to push this envelope and be willing to piss off the networks and cable companies by going direct with an ala carte style offering. I see it more as a subscription based choice, but Wrestling apparently has done the math and thinks it can make more money even if the networks throw them to the curb. In a broad sense it's Ala Carte.
I am becoming a cord cutter later this month. I hope this is the start to a new era
