A friend of mine I graduated high school with died a few years ago in one of these planes. I would never step foot in one...

The story on the other link makes me think equipment failure. I mean, how can an experienced instructor and an other-than-novice pilot make such a huge mistake so as to get into a spin or stall at such a low altitude?
Oops -- never mind, I confused the two stories. Sorry.

everything has it's own dangers........thousands do it every day without a problem............learning to fly is a great accomplishment in ones life.
I used to do it...........in the exact same kind of plane as this guy

I don't understand the fascination with plane crashes on roads - I rarely see anything about all the car crashes at airports.
