Dover Downs 1/7/14

Have some business on the east coast and will be visiting Dover since I am fairly close by. Never been but when in Rome :) Anyone interested in stopping out, let me know.

Have a safe trip! There's been some nasty weather out here on the East Coast lately. Never been to Dover Downs, but it's definitely on my list of places to visit.

Haven't been there in 10 - 12 years but if I remember correctly you can get a good view of the paddock while you are there. Beyond that I don't remember the racing area being anything special. But perhaps they have used some of the slots money over the past 15 years to modernize the grandstand area (yeah right).

Supposed to be a high of 12 degrees that day so you should have plenty of those 100,000 seats available.

You weren't kidding! Tons of seats and no people! Got there at 7 expecting to catch around 9 races only to find out they moved post times up and only caught 5 races. Payouts were bleu but was only harness running that day. Nice casino though.
