Why is the #9 in the 8th racing for purse money only? Why do they do this?

I think it was a scratch, and then it was able to race, so it was purse only.

#9 will race for purse money only because he was announced as a scratch incorrectly. People that wagered ahead of time were unable to include this horse in their plays. (including the Pk4) Therefore, he must race as a non-betting interest, to be fair to all.

looks like the :1: :2: :9: are the one's to play "your" ticket around.

:1: 2nd race off a layoff, gets the rail, does his best on the lead and should be "in the mix" late.
:2: is better than he looks. Gets an upgrade to Sutton and an inside draw. Will look to shake free late.
:9: Won multiple times at higher levels, last year. Showed flashes of his good form last week. Poised to contend tonight.
