You are stranded on an Island for the next 20 years

There's a 100 inch HD TV that works great. You get to pick one channel for the next 20 years. Which do you pick?

If you say TVG or HRTV you're crazy.......just my opine

The Home Shopping Network. If I order stuff from them, they are going to find me.

Probably National Geographic... maybe History or Science Channel... seems like I can always find something to watch and enjoy to some degree on those channels.

Thinking along the lines of Clocker, the DIY Network. Maybe I'd get some tips on how to build a damn raft to get the hell off the island!

Home and Garden channel.

I could learn how to grow "weed". Then, I wouldn't care whether anybody ever found me or not.

But of course, what else? The source for erotic fantasies of Rachel Maddow, slowly driving you mad from frustrated unfullfilled desire. :D

If the island is located in the tropics, I'd opt for the Weather Channel.

If the island is located in a temperate zone, the choice is difficult.

If the island is located in one of the polar regions, I'd opt for some porn.

Been there, done that, kinda? Through my dad's USAF service, our family lived on Guam during 1968-1969. We had exactly one TV station! Signed on in early afternoon, signed off just around midnight each day.

Biggest observation. Lots of my friends had new brothers and sisters! I actually told my mother, "Please don't embarrass me and have a baby." I still don't know what I meant. I was 12.

When I was cycling throughout the country, I got stuck in a motel on HWY #1 back around 1968. Rained almost every day and there were sections of the (2 lane) highway that were sliding off down the cliffs to into the Pacific. Stayed in the kinda run down motel for 4 days. The only thing I could get was some TV station that only played country and western and specialized in reruns of HEE HAW, only featuring Buck Owens and his Buckeroos. Almost 100 hours of Buck. Ugh!

Not my cup of country tea. Much preferred great Bluegrass and real old time country spiritual/folk, loved O Brother Where Art Thou

Buck and his buddies for my only entertainment drove me crazy. If I only had..

None, when you combine this thread with the other one about the three choices to be stuck on an island with. Combined as follows: single, straight, and alive.
Television is overrated anyway.

Whatever channel MacGyver is on...

dude would show me how to build a jet plane out of a few coconuts and palm leaves & I would be the heck outta there.

No, no. KISS. Follow Tom Hank's example and you'll successfully exit the island.

Don't forget erotic leg tingles apropos of the love affair between Chris and Barry (or is that over now?).

I hadn't watched much AMC previously and wasn't a big fan of Mad Men. But this past weekend, I couldn't turn off the Breaking Bad marathon. Didn't even bother watching the early games on Red Zone channel yesterday.
