I spent several weeks in London in 2006. I loved the city and the people. The Brits have a way of telling you to go f--- yourself in such a polite manner that you thank them for that. I spent most of my time at the Marble Arch Hotel which was near Buckingham Palace, the Tower f London, and Hyde's Park. Rode the "big red bus" all day for several days. I visited the financial district, Big Ben, rode the ferris wheel (the "Eye") and generally had a great time. Spent a day in Chelsea and attended a football match there; what an experience !!

If you ever get to London and would like to have a "pint" or two in a great pub, look for the "Carpenters Arms"; it is available on line-great place !!

JR- I just looked at the link and photos; nobody was hurt as opposed to a normal weekend in Detroit, Baltimore, Oakland, Cleveland,Atlanta etc.... I wonder how many were murdered or the victim of a "knockout" punch ??
