Today at 2 PM on ESPN2 a local Baltimore area team, the Towson Tigers go up against Eastern Washington. Towson features a beast of a running back in Terrance West; 5'11" and 230 lbs. Should be a good one !

I wasn't expecting Towson to win at Eastern Illinois last weekend. In fact, I was looking forward to an E. Illinois/N. Dakota St champ game more than most of the 1-A bowls. But Towson just ran the ball down Eastern's throats all game.

Whoever wins today is going to have their hands full with NDSU, which I think is the best 1-AA team in quite some time.

I've been watching Wash St - Colo St but Towson rallied from 31-21 down in Q4 to win 35-31 over Eastern Washington.

Yes it was and the good thing for those of us in the Baltimore area this will put TU on the recruiting map. The Univ. of Md. has never been a big thing here and never will be since the move to the Big 10 or whatever the the
hell they are called now.

My sis graduated from Towson, when it was Towson State, she even called me about the game today and she doesn't even watch football. Congrats to Coach Ambrose and the boys.

Originally it was named Towson State Teachers College in the 60's and before that. I was accepted to attend that college. The condition being that for no tuition I had to accept teaching in any school in the metro area. As things turned out, I did not attend. I married early, and 10 months later the 1st of three sons was born; heretofore forever known as cj. I could have been an alumni but I am more than happy to have accepted the alternative.

Towson is a good team but North Dakota St has been an absolute juggernaut this year by 1-AA standards. Absolutely blasted their first three playoff opponents and are now running Towson out of the stadium, too. Best 1-AA team in a long time.
