12/6 Pick of the Day - Hawthorne Race 8 (using TimeformUS again)

:3: Magic Bullet (8/1) holds the best last race TimeformUS figure and has a love affair with Hawthorne, finishing in the money 9 out of 15 times.

He is projected to get an inside trip stalking the pace, and the most common winning scenario in racing is an inside trip for the first part of the race, before switching to the outside for the stretch run.

That 97 way back in his form on this track would crush this field.

Only two other horses in the field have broken 80 at Hawthorne. Miles and Miles earned a 90...two years ago. Ideal Alluvial is a bit more scary, but the value will not be as good.

I want 5/1 or better on :3: Magic Bullet, or I'm not doing it.

i ended up thinking 8 was the best horse.-

exactas:
8 5 10 boxed (2 of my picks and 10 was supposed to be more of a speed horse of the secondary contenders)

and 8 top&bottom of 2,3,4,5 (and used 10 on the bottom of the part-wheel)

disappointed I didn't use 8 more across the board or keyed in exotics, but that was a good effort by Thornton to preserve the place on a gutsy, but tiring horse.

Looks good enough for a nice win . No reason to be disappointed. The exacta on two different tickets works.
