Good thing too, because when USA troops started fighting in WW1, WW11, Korean and Vietnam wars Demos were in the White House!! They needed the taxes!!

It is funny that you say the stock market does the best under the Demoncrats. The last year of Clinton in office I lost more in my 401k than in any other time. Also, the company that I work for had their first layoff in years during Clinton's last year.

When USA troops started fighting in Iraq, Repus were in the White House and markets tanking and well to do are paying less taxes and deficit is out of this world and young men and women are still being killed daily and millions are jobless and the alert is at yellow and the good news is?

The good news is with both parties' pres starting wars and tanking the economy, and with Bush still trying to prove WMD(even under his desk!), and with Kerry admitting committing atrocities in Nam, this could be Nader's year!!

Since its low in 2000 (last year of Clinton), it is up 26% and since my 401k was in the stock market 100%, it has eveything to do with the Demoncrats being in the Whitehouse. The last time before that I had a something bad economically happen to me was when the EVIL Jimmy Carter was in the White House. Hell i voted for him, but I learned my lesson fast. He is the last Demoncrat I have voted for in a National election.

I believe govts. cannot fix an economy, just mess it up. Innovation and supply and demand spreading the wealth around the USA will fix it!
