They were so bad, but I was still a sucker for those Fast and Furious movies.

I think I only saw the first movie but this is very unfortunate. So young, my condolences to his family and friends.

Damn...what a horrible way to go...not sure how much damage was due to fire and how much to impact, but it looks like they were going FAST....damn...then again, in a car like that, you don't have to be going super fast to cause mega carnage in a wreck...

I've driven that car. IMO, it should not be driven on the street...ever.

One must curb the amount of adrenaline we seek by the age of 30 in order to make it to 50.

On my radio station this morning they said there was a power steering fluid leak which resulted in a small explosion / fire / mechanical failure hilping cause crash.

Has anyone seen info on how fast they fugure they were going?

Many stock cars go 150+ right off the showroom floor. I sold my Roush 427 a couple of years ago. With 370 rear end gears it ran top speed 150 with a quarter mile in about 12 seconds ( with slicks of course).

Now there are probably at least a dozen cars faster, off the top of my head Mercedes, Jaguar, GM's Vette and Camaro and that's without considering the $100k+exotics.
