Am I the only one who likes to see the old experienced horse owner win races rather than these new up and coming owners that are doing it for the money rather than the pure fun of racing horses. I know not all new race horses owners have a money motive. I was watching the 1990 Kentucky Derby and I was happy to see this 92 year old women win her first and only derby.

Unbridled was the one that won the derby. Carl Naftzger trained him.

Am I the only one who was disappointed when I saw that Oxbow was carrying the black and gold silks of Bluegrass Hall LLC but was labeled as Calumet Farms? I couldn't find any info as to why Brad Kelly couldn't get the silks back from the South American Businessman. Does he own the place or just lease it. I had trouble finding that out.

If anyone has something to say like I did just wirte

Instead of interest in who owns Calumet, or its silks, today. Go a bit more, read Ann Auerbach's, "Wild Ride".

A story you'll never forget.

If newer owners REALLY see racing as a windfall-which I doubt- they're in for quite a reality check. Respectfully, this thread misses the point on why people buy racehorses.

Respectfully, this thread misses the point on why people buy racehorses. I was wondering could you elaborate on this statement I don't understand.
