These picks are a lot more boring than today's Delta Downs win. I didn't see anything too interesting though.

Aqueduct Race 8

BRIS PPs (http://www.brisnet.com/php/bw_pdf_viewer.php?track=AQU&race=8&param1=1944&param2=7128&param3=1046760)

I was very impressed with #1A Request's (2/1) debut win.

He raced near the back of the pack for the first quarter, moved while racing wide into a slow pace, then had dead aim on the two colts on his inside and won. It's always nice to see a horse make a move and continue on with it, rather than hang like a chandelier.

One of the horses beaten on the inside was Mr. Speaker, who faces him again here and has a notable pace advantage. But, Mr. Speaker had a pace advantage in the Sept. 21 race and Request defeated him.

I'll play Request to win and I want every bit of those 2/1 or higher odds. I'll try to keep an eye on the odds and cancel if it gets too low.

Hawthorne Race 7

#6 Phaniebdancing (3/1) simply has a significant pace advantage with her early speed, and I don't see the stretchout as a problem seeing as how the grandsire is A.P. Indy.

Aqueduct is cancelled, so it's probably a good thing I posted two races.

Fair odds for Phaniebdancing are...let's say at 2/1 or higher I'll play $20 to win.

She finished 3rd by about a length at 7/2. I wasn't too happy with the 3 wide trip the entire race. I was hoping the jockey would send her to the lead and win Rachel Alexandra style.

On to tomorrow.

Definitely betting her next time out. She was very game, trying to win. :)
