The true believers are still in line, in spite of all the evidence of a political catastrophe.

It is.
It was designed to destroy the HC system of this country and put everyone in a single payer - government owns you mode.

Chris Hayes is a clueless cheerleader. The simple fact that California is signing up a lot of people does not necessarily mean that it is working as planned. It can be proof that it is a huge failure. You can't tell by looking at how many are signing up. You have to look at who is signing up. And who is not.

The critical number is how many young and healthy people are signing up. With out them, the plan self-destructs. Cheerful little Chris has no evidence, and no clue that it is important. His guest, who should know better, ignores the issue also.

The guest correctly summarizes why Cali is signing up more people than any place else. Essentially, California is even more in favor of, and supportive of, socialized medicine than the administration. The plan has more resources, more proactive government support and more funding. The state government is micromanaging the insurance companies to a much great degree than the feds. Finally, the state has a better web sight and has greatly simplified (i.e., dumbed down) the process of signing up by highly restricting consumer choices. All of which would serve to discourage the target base: the young.

It was designed to destroy the HC system of this country and put everyone in a single payer - government owns you mode.

The Dems really wanted this to work as planned for some period of time. ObamaCare is a transition to single payer with a number of benefits to the left. One is that it gets low information voters more and more accustomed to having the government control their health care. More importantly, it pays for expanded subsidized health insurance without an open and honest tax increase.

Funding is a deal killer for socialized medicine right now. The biggest problem is not implementing single payer, it is funding it. They need the individual and employer mandates to work as planned, or the whole thing collapses without the option to move to single payer.

California officials have ruled that insurance companies in the state cannot follow Obama's "solution" that would let people keep their current plans for another year. All unqualified plans must be canceled upon expiration, and replaced with a qualified plan.

The Covered California Board, which oversees the state's health insurance exchange under the Affordable Care Act, voted unanimously Thursday not to allow renewal for 2014 of health insurance policies cancelled because their coverage does not meet federal standards under the new law.

The 5-0 decision reflected its view that "extending the deadline offers no benefit to the consumer and may create confusion about accessing affordable health care coverage,'' the board said in a statement.

"There's no way to make the federal law work without this transition to ACA-compliant plans," California board member Susan Kennedy said. "Delaying the transition isn't going to help anyone; it just delays the problems. I actually think that it's going to make a bad situation worse if we complicate it further."

So far, only 12 states have agreed with Obama's recent proposal to allow those with canceled policies extend them for another year. Others, including California and New York, have declined, saying the old policies don't meet the law's requirements and allow insurance companies to offer coverage only to the healthy.

So California, NY, and other states have ruled that Obama's proposed fix for his lies about canceled plans does not comply with the law.

I have a lot of respect for Sarah Palin and her husband Todd. If anyone attacked my Wife or my children like she has endured, I would be in jail for life.
I was raised to never talk shit in any way about a woman. But a man, swing when you want, if you feel justified. I think Todd should be justified.
