So, has it suddenly become fashionable to admit to having a drinking problem and using it as an excuse for other behavior? Try that for a traffic offense, and you're screwed.

In my opinion, guys like Ford and Radel should not get a pass because they can't handle the sauce.

I know, like when Ford made his press conference announcing that he did do crack "once", he said something like, "I did it when I was on one of my drunken binges".
When did it become socially acceptable to casually admit to a number of drunken binges?
A public official no less.
