10th@Mountaineer: 6F Clm5000N2Y ~purse $9,000 ~ 11/19/13
(Non-Winners of Two races in 12 months)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Closer By The Numbers:
3 -Speeds draw outside;
2 -step up in class;
1 -New Face;
0 -Layoff Runners.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1) Almostoutoftheblue (8/1 ML)~ Lone Mountain Invader threat
by default on Pvt.Purchase/Trainer Change. 2013 Beyers tad light.
2) Bruno Cino (5/2 ML Fave)~ Subtle but crucial Class Drop from
N2-6mo. to N2-12mo. Eligible by 8 days. Stalker gets cozy post, setup.
3) Lawtoncircle (12/1)~ 8YO seems best keyed under with
only two wins since 2010. Strong J/T team, nice post & ML juicy.
4) Favorite Flashback (20/1)~ Closer gets "Blinkers On". i may
be Trippin', but Flash not my Favorite. Must Note 4F Bullet 11/8.
5) Brother Brett (9/2)~ Wild Card based solely on Claim off win
by Crafty Cox. Beyers say no, but BEWARE Brother F.O.C.!
6) Goaltogoal (15/1)~ Visually Electric Surge two back bursting
by Fast Promises. Lumpkins back to Jolt Toteboard Again?
7) Good Family (6/1)~ Loses Rivera, but Jarrod Solid Jock. Inside
speed? GoodRace/BadRace pattern sez "GoodRace" on tap tonite.
8) Mig Alley (20/1)~ 6YO adds 220Y, & seems best @5-5.5F.
9) Fast Promises (6/1)~ 7YO steps up off facile win, cost me $$
two back when stopping late. Parker likely deflates ML odds.
10) Sordisa (4/1)~ 6YO runs big at times, but ML odds seem low.
Ten Post tough to overcome at Mountain. Move up if 7,9 scratch.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
EARLY LOOK: ML Fave may get dream set-up if 7-9-10 are all
Hell-Bent for Leather early. #'s 1-5 look like Wild Cards on recent
Owner/Trainer Changes. Only #'s 3-4-6-8 seem impossible, & many
may include #6 off his charging close two back for Win.
I'll go two deep, in P5,with stalkers 2 &5.
GOOD LUCK to ALL, & See You at Night School!

That note about 8 days is key.

I wouldn't have picked up on that.

Will be at OTB from 6:15-8:00EST, but I'll leave a few $ on this one WP

9th@Mountaineer: 6F Alw28400N4L ~purse $28,400 ~ 11/19/13
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Seven entered, Two New Faces, One lightly-raced Even-Money
ML Fave the Horse to beat.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1) Privacy Invasion (20/1ML)~ Owner/Trainer steps up in class
second off $5K Claim. Needs Pace Meltdown & Beyer Boost.
2) Beppone (1/1 ML Fave)~ 4YO goes for Four-peat off 171-day
break, T-2-D & 220Y cutback. Trainer lethal locally. One Caveat:
Two races run in 12 months. "Fragile: Handle With Care" sticker?
3) Brass Buckle (12/1)~ Local debut for Ohio-Bred. Overmatched.
4) Rockerfeller (15/1)~ Got his Skank on in local debut, gets
Big Rider upgrade. Best Beyers on Turf going longer. Expect improvement.
5) Whiskey Decision (8/1)~ 510Y cutback for local debut.
Class & Distance obvious questions for 5YO. Worth a Shot?
6) Da Don (5/2)~ Ditka-Lovers should flock to Lone 3YO never
off board in 4 local tries. Beware Low Off Odds as alternative to fave.
7) Lite Music (5/1)~ Should get good outside stalking trip, but
Note 0/11 on Fast Dirt. Not sure 6F best distance. Must-Use under.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
EARLY LOOK: Chalk-Eating Weasel Alert! i can't see past one of
the Two Top choices getting the Win, but if you want to bust open
Pick-5 pool, Lite Music & Whiskey Decision have a puncher's chance.
Good Luck to ALL, & See You at Night School!
