#3 DUGAN BILL 6-1 Must respect on class drop but beat only 5 in last 4 starts
#7 POSITION A 30-1 Longshot coming out of same races as top pick; underneath

Top selections:
#5 JUSTA GUSTA: Dropped in half three back and stumbled from the gate. Came back next out at 10k and finished a solid 2nd at 13-1 and was in front of many of these runners in that race. Was overmatched when in starter company in last and still broke poorly. Has the right tracking speed.

#9 SANDYS DIAMOND: Was in pretty good form at EMD when getting a win a few runner-up efforts at decent odds. Was sent off at 11-1 vs 25k two back and run 2nd at DMR. Concerned with the layoff, drop and average effort in last at 7-2. Drops again. Can easily win but tred lightly here.

Also at a price:
#8 WARREN’S RAIL BIRD: Big closer was actually ahead of the top pick in the starter allw last time out. Last time he ran for a tag, he was 4th beaten just 2 behind two runners who came right back to win. 2nd twice in long sprints here earlier this year at 36-1 and 10-1. Surprise package.

#1 STROLLIN HOME: Key race in her debut when winner returned to run 2nd in a 100k stakes and two more won next out. Gets a 13 pound swing her way with Raja’s Rose. Should be sent from rail in a paceless race.

#7 SHE’S FLUSH: Has had many chances but still a maiden. She ran a big race last out when first at this level. Back in with CA bred runners and a rider change to Talamo. Should be able to stalk from the outside.

#7 HAZARDOUS: Like the outside post draw in this speed laden race. Closed from last to get up for 2nd at TUP last out. 4th came back to win an AZ-bred allowance next out. Rider up for a 12-1 2nd here back in July.

#1 CHANGE OF PLAN: Rosario was up in last when he sat behind the speed early and was game to the wire to get a 6-5 win. 4 of past 6 have been in the exacta. Top connections and inside draw add to appeal.

#3 WINDING WAY: Looked a serious filly when she missed the break in 2012 Rancho and still got up to win. Been facing much better and fired in last when 2nd in G3 which was first blinkers.

#4 GOLDEN PRODUCTION: Claimed by Miller two back off of win for 40k. Came back to win at a bit lower level at even money. Been in the money in all but one. Talamo been up every start.

#1 EL MIRAGE KING: Quite possibly the only speed in the race and since he draws the inside with a bug rider, he could really be tough here. Went too fast two back. Should be much more comfortable here. Very live one and todays best bet.

#6 CIRCA’SGOLDENGEAR: 2nd in the common race won by Et Tu Walker and beat many of these in here. Solid at this distance and has shown more tactical speed in the past. He’s 5 of 6 on the HOL turf course. Stalks speed.

#7 CLOUDS CLEARING: We really liked this one in debut at 10-1 and he was very game in the win. Both of his starts against winners were pretty decent. Trainer 2 for 5 when a runner is making 1st turf start. Big late run.

#2 HARBAUGH: Won for fun on wire to wire when dropping from MSW to MC in 2nd start. Was able to rate and nearly tag the winner in first start vs winners last out. Everyone but he and the winner were coming in off of wins.

Some things to like with this longshot. Toss last as he was 85-1 and they went 21 and 42.2 in the race. In addition, 7th and 8th came back to win from there. Beat Scorcher in the 7-17 DMR race and was a good 4th in a key race on 6-16.

Has had many chances on the grass and has hit the board in 6 of 14 of those turf races. Usually gives you a good late run as he did last out. Has beaten better in his career. Bred to want the grass and the distance. Obvious exotics player

Almost identical pattern to the 2 yr old Enterprising for Proctor. Was a well back, but late closing 7th in debut and then won on move to turf and to a mile. Half to 300k turfer, Star Billing. Love the works.

Certainly long overdue. She has been solid in all 4 races. In her last race she lost to a Baffert runner who came back to win the G1 Hollywood Starlet in her next start. Not a lot of turf in the bloodlines.

Love this move from starter at GG to mid claiming here. It is a lateral move as she ran for 17k purse in last and 18k purse here. Faced a pretty decent group last. Love the 5 wide circling maiden win 2 back.

She has a few starts that would put her in the mix. Pace seems to benefit her style. Was 3rd at 13-1 the last time she ran at this level here at BHP. Could prove herself a sneaky exotics player. Under.
