600K for 12 races with 160k given out in purse money. There is no one betting that product.

You have to wonder how much longer this can go on. The takeout from the handle doesn't even cover the purse money, much less the expenses of putting on the show.

Well the question is casino and slot money. That suppliments the purses quite a bit. Now how long that will last? is the question.

Monti often gets in the 500-700K range with 12-13 races but only about 40-50K in purses.

I know Monti tries to do some different things, however, on these slower days especially, I would try to juice it up.

A two mile race, a 3/4 mile race, a .10 pick 10 with a huge jackpot.

Just random ideas.

That's what I was implying. At this point, it's clear that the subsidies are cash down a rathole.

This is something that should've been done at all the Racino tracks, from the get go.

Have a supplemented, inexpensive, low probability bet, p7 or p8, that provides the possibility of making a semi-life changing score. This might have drawn new fans, but, no, all the money had to go to purses which have done nothing but fatten undeserving horsemen.

Agree with you all the way BadCo. In Penna they are cutting back already on money going to the tracks. The large tracks product is still a "can do" but the horsemen still want to support the small sized tracks with lots of entries. Then to make matters worse the Penna horsemen worked to put in a 10% extra tax on the bettor from Penna who used an ADW. Makes no sense but all to common.
