$24.00 out, $56.30 in. What was the question? Oh, yeah, I remember. Does this count as doubling?

Yes, Dave, you are still absolutely correct--small samples are irrelevant. They don't mean a thing.

I'm not sure why this thread hasn't had any comments ,maybe I am missing something. It looks like to me you did a great job of handicapping the races at Monticello yesterday. So I say nice job
to you and may your success continue.

I didn't think the dance in the endZone was necessary.

The prices on yesterdays DD -45 and first pic3 -- 146 were outstanding. Another nice day of winner picking by Traynor.

I didn't think the dance in the endZone was necessary.

It was. When one's actions create a knee-jerk response in others, it is pointless to pretend otherwise. As in, "I am a brilliant, insightful race analyst with years of hard-earned experience. You just got lucky." Psychologists refer to it as the fundamental attribution error. There seems more than a little of it on this board.

So, yes, the dance in the end zone was necessary.

Nice job T. Some of us don't spend a whole lot of time in the trot section...

Handing the ball to the ref shows more class.

PS-not dissing the actual picks at all, just a theory on why there weren't many comments.

The 13th race was as boat of a race as you will see......

I stumble into laurel at 4pm see mr and the board reeks.....exactas are way off I fire in 80 win :1: .......in my years of harness racing I've never seen a horse from rail go 3 deep before the half like this one did.....

Long story short they did what they had to do to get in the :1: - :2: exacta...wasn't pretty but the boys got it home

For those that used to go to the Staten Island otb that was a A-B exacta

Congratulations on the good wins especially in Trot R02 and Trot07! Although most people consider the long term results for betting, my opinion would be that you had a successful day, and I would consider it doubling for certain. Actually, I am more inclined to bet on Thoroughbred races; however, I have been intrigued by harness racing for a long time. Are there any tracks you would recommend for a newbie to experience harness racing first hand? I think that will be my initiation, but since I definitely enjoy betting, I kind of suspect that is not far behind for me.

I see that your location is Chicago, so I would tell you to take in Balmoral for your first visit. Balmoral is a mile track with many races having 10 horse fields. Gives you a better shot at getting a nice price on the winner.
