Hey,
I turned a profit last Wed. at Pompano just using the program and my knowledge from betting the trotters 30 years ago.
Bet a lot of place (and some win) and ignored exotics and came out pretty good on the ROI front. Lost when I overreached and went for Tris, exactas, win longshots.
Used the old Ainslie method (modified slightly) and then id' horses who seemed to run good final quarters after making some moves in the race in a decent time and showed some consistency and a decent driver. Didn't hurt when a horse was bet down late either.
Interesting is I lost the last race -- which looked like a real fixed "boat race." Horse with 0-53 trainer and 2% driver was 7-5 most of the way, bet to 3-5 in last two minutes with OK PPs, but not a standout. 5-2 on the cold dope. Horse left from the 1 hole, was second on the rail until the first pass on the finish line (5/8 track so 1 1/2 times around) when he easily passed the leader and jogged home, never threatened.
Looked like the others were "giving" the trainer and driver a race.
BTW, the restaurant at Pompano isn't bad.
