That's a funny article, but one thing the author doesn't mention is that although you can lose "every last dime" betting on a horse that falters, if you trade stocks on margin you can still lose "every last dime" and then some. Personally, I don't think I could lose as much money as I did on the NASDAQ this year in a lifetime of playing the ponies.

We would have to bet every race at every track for years to get there, brother.
One good thing about horseracing, there is a lot of useful information there, if you work at it. Either on your computer programs or at the track live. It is pretty hard to have that many losers! It is actually possible to make money.
The stock market "experts" can't say that.
