Meadowlands race 6 on 10/25, winner is 182-1, followed by a 7-2 horse, the 7-5 favorite, and a 39-1 shot. It was a 10 horse field. Pool was 18,153. Dime super pays $498.76???

31 dime tickets sold on that combo? Equibase and the ADWs both show the payoff without "all" for 4th.

Oh man, I'd be a bit mad getting back $498 for that super with those odds! :D

If the tri was 2000-1 and the super was 5,000-1, that means if you scratch the top 3 finishers, you're getting 3-2 odds on the "winner" which was 39-1 in real life.

Hmmm, the evils of the dime super. :D

Seems like the "whole world" had the super, but virtually nobody had the winner to win!

The winning horse had 171 dollars to win on him.

"They" had it..

There were approximately 80 winning tickets on the winner and there were approximately 30 "winning tickets" on the super. I also believe that the Super takeout at M1 is 15% or something low like that....so, the "low price" is even more alarming.

Or, its not alarming and its the evils of the dime super that caused the low payoff. ;)

Maybe one person put in 31 dime tickets so he wouldn't have to sign for it.

Obviously another past-posting incident...but not to worry. Past-posting will be a thing of the past once the tracks upgrade their wagering softwere next year... :)

The funny thing about that race- not only is there is a pick 5 carryover (of around $7k) but also a pick 4 carryover (almost $6k). Can't recall seeing that one before.

That payoff works out to a $9900 on a $2 wager.
With a pool of $18k, it comes as no surprise.
I think very few if not maybe one person bet a whole bunch of dime tix.

Another wild scenario at M1 in the first race today. Only 2 dollars on the winning Tri combo and of course, someone had the super, 1 stray dime takes down the entire pot.

It gets weirder...the trainer of the place horse at 135-1 was.....the trainer of the bomb in the last race yesterday.

This is the world of small PM pools.
I see no surprises here.
Question....with one winning wager on the super taking the entire pool, what difference does the minimum bet amount have?
If only one person had the combo, it would not matter if the min wager was $100....The pool was what it was and there was only one successful wager.
The payoff might have been astronomical, but based on the size of the pool, the payout would still be the same.

It would be interesting to know who cashed those supers or tri's yesterday and today, they're signers (unless the super yesterday was all dime repeats) would love to know if this trainer was in on some kind of form reversal situation, it shouldnt be hard to see who's name is on the "Signer" and if they have any affiliation with "Mr 99-1"

I'll try to find out if the stewards ran a "special" on the place horse. I really hope they did.

Indeed, they ran a special. Now I hope they super-test the samples from the two horses.

If they're clean - congrats on a job well done!
If not - well, I have some other thoughts for you.
